Health Canada has published proposed regulations for the phase 1 of the Self-Care Framework.
The proposal is intended to reform the labeling requirements for natural health products (NHPs) so that information is clear, consistent, and legible for consumers and is in alignment with rules that have already been established for comparable non-prescription drugs (NPDs).
These amendments are expected to align the labeling requirements for NHPs with the practices in the U.S. and other jurisdictions.
