If you manufactured or imported products into Canada in 2025, now is the time to understand the potential impact on your formulations.
Relevant product categories include:
Seeing your product category on this list doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll need to report. Your specific substances, 2025 activity, and applicable thresholds also matter.
Determining whether you need to report requires visibility into your formulations, ingredient data, product quantities, and supplier information. You may need to:
Review your 2025 formulations and import data against the Schedule 1 substance list and concentration thresholds.
Make sure the products and quantities you sold into Canada can be traced back to specific formula and product codes.
Work with raw material suppliers and formulators when complete formulation details aren’t available.
If reporting is required, submissions are due through ECCC’s Single Window by March 3, 2027.
Assessing the impact across your products and formulations can require pulling together ingredient, formula, supplier, and sales data.
